I am grateful that the Board and Staff at CSHC have responded positively to the challenging times we face as an organization. Our strategic plan, fund raising efforts, and better communications regarding the critical nature of our services with the United Way Allocation Panel resulted in limiting our United Way allocation reduction to 31%. We were fortunate to be featured on several news reports on TV and in the Observer, which resulted in new sources of support and increased awareness of communication disorders.

The Board has been busy recruiting new members and recently installed Dave Wahlizer, Dana Lowder, Ellen Stahlsmith and Paul Bass to replace outgoing members. To further our recruitment efforts I am requesting that everyone who reads this refer a good candidate for our board of directors.
